Reunited the two factions; purchased the lot at the corner of Georgia Avenue and McDaniel Street; established the missionary society and the first usher board.

Reverend William W. Floyd, the fifth pastor, united the two congregations with the help of Deacon P. H. Hill. While white people preached segregation and white supremacy all over the South, Reverend W. W. Floyd built a beautiful wooden house of worship. It was said that the young fiery and dynamite Reverend Floyd preached so acceptably that people came from far and near to hear him. Zion Hill Baptist Church became rejuvenated under his leadership and the membership grew by leaps and bounds. Amid hatred and white supremacy, Reverend Floyd preached the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of man. During this dynamic season, the congregation of Zion Hill Baptist Church grew so large that the old board Church was unable to seat the membership and friends who came. Reverend Floyd started a building fund but before he could start the new brick church his health failed him. After having served 17 years since 1899, he passed away in 1916.
