An Outreach Ministry Initiative of Zion Hill Baptist Church

The Care to Love Outreach Ministry is a systematic effort of Zion Hill Baptist Church to fulfill the mandate of Jesus Christ to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, care for the sick, visit the imprisoned, and otherwise assist those in need. In order to keep this charge, an Outreach Ministry Team in 1995 selected, contacted and interviewed over 200 agencies, institutions or groups that serve persons with various needs (such as housing, food, healthcare, consolation, encouragement, etc.). Over 25 ministries adopted one or more of these community organizations in an effort to offer ongoing assistance in whatever way the ministry and particular organization deemed appropriate.
Now, each of the ministries administers a budget of $800 to aid the particular outreach of their choosing. Additionally, the Church provides several larger grants to some of these organizations at the end of the calendar year.
